Daniel Bell, Computer Numerical Programmer at Central City Millworks in New Orleans, produces precision custom millwork using his expertise with cutting edge digital fabrication technology.

<fb:like href=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.centralcitymillworks.com%2Fdaniel-bell-cnc-programmer%2F height=25 width=450 show_faces=false font=arial action=like colorscheme=light layout=standard style="margin: 10px 0;"></fb:like>

Daniel Bell has worked in construction and restoration in New Orleans since the summer of 2009. It was during his time at Operation Comeback, a program of the Preservation Resource Center, that he became more interested in traditional millwork through his involvement with the Prince of Wales Building Crafts Apprenticeship Program.

Daniel became acquainted with Hal Collums and Central City Millworks through his historic restoration work at the PRC. Upon leaving the organization, he knew that CCM was the right company to help him achieve his goal of learning the millwork trade. Since joining CCM in September of 2010, Daniel has worked his way up from the production floor to a position that includes project management and CNC operations.

I love how our company is able to blend traditional millwork techniques and practices with cutting edge technologies. I strongly feel that we are the top custom millwork company in New Orleans, be it for traditional architectural components or cutting edge digital fabrication. – Daniel Bell

Bartell Tapp moved to New Orleans from Texas in 2003 – “just in time to get settled in before Katrina hit.” His friends and family tried to convince him to move back to Texas after the storm but his love for his adopted city and his desire to be part of the rebuilding effort gave him the conviction to stay.

He started working part time for Central City Millworks in 2006 as an outside sales representative while also running his own company which specialized in buying and selling antique reclaimed heart pine, cypress, and brick. In June of 2009 Bartell began working full time for CCM handling both inside and outside sales for the mill and locating and negotiating purchases of the heart pine we use to mill our flooring. His experience with reclaimed heart pine made him a natural fit for our flooring business but he has also become thoroughly versed in all the products we fabricate at CCM.

Bartell really enjoys working with the customer from the time of the first inquiry until the job is complete and he takes great satisfaction in his growing list of repeat customers. He shares the same philosophy as CCM that no job is too small and every customer is important.

” I had the advantage of working with Bartell as a client before the storm and I was impressed with Bartell’s great customer service. He paid attention to detail and he doggedly followed up to make sure I was satisfied as a customer. I knew that he would be a valuable addition to our company and I was very happy when we agreed to come to work with us full time.” – Hal Collums
