
Thomas Nevitt III was hired as a Residential Project Manager with the Hal Collums Team at the end of 2008 during a busy time for the company. His has experience in residential construction, with thirteen years in the field as well as six years of sales and estimating experience.
Thomas’ first assignment with Hal Collums Construction was managing a Julia Street gallery renovation for a longtime client. Once he finished that job in record time he was on to even bigger projects. Next came the Flightline First airline terminal at the New Orleans Lakefront Airport. Then Thomas began overseeing the millwork installation at the National World War II Museum expansion. While working on these projects Thomas has gained knowledge of a large variety of intricate details and specialty products including exotic hardwoods, veneers, stainless steel, custom resin and even fiber optic lighting.
Recently, Mr. Nevitt has been promoted to Mill Shop Manager for Central City Millworks. His daily tasks in the mill shop include overall management of the Mill Shop’s workload and labor force, productivity and quality assurance as well as daily safety. He has also been instrumental in initiating new protocols and procedures for maximizing the quality of service and products that Central City Millworks can and will provide for New Orleans in the future. He has worked well with the company’s team, and has a bright future with Central City Millworks.
