Millwork
Ready-made carpentry elements installed in commercial and residential buildings. These items are cut and made from raw lumber that are being produced in a sawmill, hence the name “Millwork.” The two primary materials that are produced in mill workshops include softwood or hardwood lumber. Two manufacturers of millwork goods are referred to as “stock millwork” and “architectural millwork.” Stock millwork will usually work for commercial or home builders. Architectural millwork will be more customized for individuals or individual building products. Items made will include base trim, crown moulding, interior doors, door frames, window casing, chair rails, cabinets, and wood paneling. These pieces can be installed with little or no modifications.
